  Ypthima motschulskyi (Bremer et Grey, 1853)

· TYPE LOCALITY. Unknown, probably a vicinity of Beijing [China].

· RANGE. E. China and the Amur region to Korea and Japan.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Locally in the S. Amur (the Khabarovsk Distrinct) and Ussuri regions - ssp. amphithea Menetries, 1859.

· TAXONOMIC NOTES. According to Korshunov & Gorbunov (1995), the nominate subspecies of motschulskyi (Bremer et Grey, 1853) is a separate species, different from amphithea and distributed in SE. China.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Humid meadows and openings in the deciduous forest zone. Host plants (Fukuda et al., 1983): Carex and various grasses. Flight period: mid-July to mid-August.
