· RANGE. Confined to Alai and Darvaz.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony steppe-clad slopes up to 2,600 m a.s.l. Flight period: August-September.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. S. pimpla: UNF discal area ochreous. S. ferula: larger; UPF with two eye-spots.
