· TYPE LOCALITY. Pazmara, Zanghezursky Range, Armenian Highland, Azerbaijan.

· RANGE. S. Transcaucasia.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony steppe-clad slopes at 2,500-3,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. S. amasinus: UPF in both sexes with two eye-spots; UNF uniform grey. S. iranicus: FW in both sexes with two eye-spots; UNF discal area ochreous-brown.
