· RANGE. Asia Minor to the Middle East, Transcaucasia.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony steppe-clad slopes up to 2,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. S. effendi, S. iranicus: UNF discal area differing from the ground colour.
