· TYPE LOCALITY. "Alt.[ai] or.[iental[ alp.[es]" [E. Altai].

· RANGE. The S. and E. Altai.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad slopes up to 1,700 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. P. hippolyte: larger; UPS postdiscal bands reddish-ochreous to straw-yellow; UNH pattern contrasting, veins white.
