· TYPE LOCALITY. "Von Tokat in Kleinasien" .[Central Turkey].

· RANGE. From SW. Georgia to central Turkey and W. Iran.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Caucasus Minor - ssp. caucasica (Lederer, 1864).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Dry clayey-stony slopes at 1,000-2,200 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August. Host plants (Hesselbarth et al., 1995): Poa annua, P. pratensis. Pupation in the ground.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. P. guriensis: smaller; UPS ground colour paler; androconial scales different. P. pelopea: smaller; all pattern elements paler; androconial scales different (Fig. 72).
