· TYPE LOCALITY. "In campis aridis ad Volgam". [Krymza r., Syzran distr., Samara reg.].

· RANGE. From the Caucasus and Volga region across Kazakhstan and S. Siberia to the Amur region and Mongolia.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The central and S. European parts and Siberia, the Caucasus Major, Dzhungarsky Alatau, the Saur and Tarbagatai mts., W. Siberia, the Altai and Sayan Mts. - the nominate subspecies (= vacuna Grum-Grshimailo, 1891); Transbaikalia and the Amur region - ssp. grossi Eitschberger et Lukhtanov, 1994.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad plains and foothills up to 2,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-July. Host plants (Migranov, 1991): Poa avena, Festuca ovina.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. O. lederi: UPS ground colour very pale, almost white; UNS pattern more variegated; UNH postdiscal band almost absent.
