· TYPE LOCALITY. N. America (probably Labrador, Canada).

· RANGE. Polar regions of America and the Chukot Peninsula.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The East Chukot Region - ssp. beringiana Kurentzov, 1970.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Plain tundras. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. O. norna, O. bore: UPS yellow bands and ocelli well-developed, as a rule, especially so in females; genitalia different .
