· TYPE LOCALITY. Verkhoyansk, Endybal River [Yakutia].

· RANGE. The northern areas of Siberia and the Far East.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The nominate subspecies flies in the Far East and Chukot Region; the ssp. czekanowskii Lukhtanov, 1989 occurs in polar tundras of Siberia.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Shrubby habitats in river valleys. Flight period: June-July. Many populations seem to be female-biased.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. O. jutta, O. magna: UPS ground colour dark brown with pale bands and dots.
