· TYPE LOCALITY. "Buhara?". [Ghissarsky Mts. (west), Uzbekistan].

· RANGE. Confined to the Ghissarsky Mts.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Two subspecies are accepted: ssp. maureri Avinov et Sweadner, 1951 - Ghissar (west); and ssp. iskander Avinov et Sweadner, 1951 (= maidana Avinov et Sweadner, 1951; = anzobica J.J. Shchetkin, 1986) - Ghissar (east).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad slopes at 3,000-3,500 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. K. decolorata: UPS bands paler. K. josephi: male FW without androconial scales.
