· TYPE LOCALITY. "Prov. Fergana; Alai-Gebirge" [Archa-Bashi N. of Pass Kara-Kazyk, Alaisky Mts., Kirghizia].

· RANGE. Confined to Alai and Darvaz.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The nominate subspecies occurs in the Alaisky Mts. Other subspecies are as follows:

ssp. dissoluta (Staudinger, 1886) - Alai (the Zaalaisky Mts.);

ssp. jakobsoni Avinov et Sweadner, 1951 - Alai (the Kichik-Alai Mts.);

ssp. hissariensis Avinov et Sweadner, 1951 - Ghissar (the Ghissarsky Mts.);

ssp. darvasica Avinov et Sweadner, 1951 - Darvaz (the Darvazsky and Peter 1 mts.).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad slopes at 3,000-3,700 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. K. maureri, K. decolorata: male FW with androconial scales.
