· TYPE LOCALITY. [Murgab, Muzkol Mts., E. Pamirs, Tajikistan].

· RANGE. Confined to the E. Pamirs and Hindu Kush.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The nominate subspecies - the E. Pamirs; ssp. kafir Avinov et Sweadner, 1951 - the W. Pamirs.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad slopes at 2,700-4,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. K. pamira: UPS postdiscal band uniform ochreous-red; UPF eye-spots almost always centred with white pupils.
