· TYPE LOCALITY. "Beirut" [Lebanon].

· SYNONYMS: meshetica (Jachontov, 1915).

· RANGE. S. Europe, Turkey, the Caucasus and Transcaucasia.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Caucasus Major and Minor, the Armenian Highland.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Edges of foothill and mountain forests up to 2,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August. Host plant (Nekrutenko, 1990): Holcus.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. fagi fagi: UPS bands slightly shaded; UNH pattern more strongly contrasting; genitalia different. H. fagi tetrica: genitalia different.
