Harima callipteris karafutonis Matsumura, 1919

· TYPE LOCALITY. "Tokei (Yedo)". [Vicinity of Tokyo, Japan].

· RANGE. Confined to Japan, Sakhalin and the S. Kuriles.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Sakhalin - ssp. karafutonis Matsumura, 1919 (= minima Esaki et Nakahara, 1924), the Kuriles. - ssp. obscura Nakahara, 1926.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Thin deciduous forests with Sasa, the host plant (Fukuda et al., 1983). Flight period: June-July.
