· TYPE LOCALITY. Zeravshansky Mts. (west), Aman-Kutan, 1400 m [Uzbekistan].

· RANGE. The western parts of the Ghissarsky and Zeravshansky, Baisun-Tau and Kuhitangtau Mts.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Clayey-stony steppe habitats at 1,300-2,300 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. rubriceps: smaller; male androconial stripe straight and not extended over vein 2a; FW black-brown marginal colour extended inside towards area between eye-spots, as a rule; genitalia different.
