· TYPE LOCALITY. W. Pamirs, upper reaches of Toguzbulak River, 3,800 m a.s.l.

· RANGE. Confined to the Pamirs.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The nominate subspecies occurs in the W. Pamirs (from the Vanchsky to Ishkashimsky mts.), and the ssp. jakobsoni Lukhtanov, 1990 in the mountains of the central and E. Pamirs.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Found in high-montane steppes as well as in isolated steppe habitats at 2,500-3,900 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August.
