Hyponephele murzini Dubatolov, 1989 · TYPE LOCALITY. W. Tian-Shan, Kuraminsky Mts., Pass Kamchik [Uzbekistan]. · RANGE. Confined to W. Tian-Shan. · HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. A local species strongly associated with stony and rocky habitats, especially screes, at 1,300-1,800 m a.s.l. Flight reluctant, disturbed butterflies hop to a short distance and hide themselves among stones. Flight period: June-August. · SIMILAR SPECIES. H. tristis: UNH pattern different. H. dysdora: androconial area broad; UNH different. H. prasolovi: androconial area narrow like a stripe; UNH different.
