· TYPE LOCALITY. "Hissar Mt., Iskander-Darja" [N. slope of the Ghissarsky Mts. near Lake Iskanderkul, Tajikistan].

· RANGE. Ghissar, Darvaz, Alai, Tian-Shan.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Locally distributed in different parts of Middle Asia. The nominate subspecies occurs in the Ghissarsky (northern slopes) and Zeravshansky (southern slopes) mts., in the Lake Iskanderkul area and also in the central part of the Peter 1 Mts. Populations from the Chatkalsky Mts. (W. Tian-Shan) are referred to the ssp. namangana Lukhtanov, 1996; the western part of the Kirghizsky Mts., Syrdarinsky Karatau and N. Alai (western part) - ssp. magna Samodurov, 1996; Inner Tian-Shan - ssp. naryna Lukhtanov, 1996

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Eroded bare stony slopes almost devoid of vegetation at 1,700-2,300 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-September.
