· TYPE LOCALITY. "Lepsa-Gebiet" [Lepsinsk, Dzhungarsky Alatau, Kazakhstan].

· RANGE. The S. Altai, Saur, Tarbagatai, Dzhungarsky Alatau.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Apart from the type locality, the species is known also from the Saur Mts., hills of Kazakhstan, the SW. and central Altai, and Mongolia. The subspecies gurkini Korshunov, 1995 has recently been described from the N. Altai. The taxonomic status of populations from the SW. Altai and Mongolia requires clarification.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe foothills at altitudes ranging from 400-600 to 1,000-1,200 m a.s.l. Flight period: May-July.
