· TYPE LOCALITY. "Drosh" [Pakistan].

· RANGE. Afghanistan, Pakistan, N. India, the W. Pamirs, the Alai Mts. (the southern slope).

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The W. Pamirs - ssp. evanescens Wyatt et Omoto, 1966; the southern slope of the Alaisky Mts. - ssp. alaina Lukhtanov, 1996.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. In the W. Pamirs, it inhabits areas with stony screes and exposed rock at 2,100-3,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. davendra: male androconial area long and broad. H. tenuistigma: smaller; androconial area long and narrow; genitalia different. H. issykkuli: androconial area short; UPF base darkened in both sexes; HW outer edge conspicuously less strongly undulate.
