· TYPE LOCALITY. "Usgent" [Uzgensky Mts., Kirghizia].

· RANGE. N. (Kirghizsky Mts.) and Inner Tian-Shan, Alai.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad slopes and mountain meadows at 2,500-3,900 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. E. progne: smaller; UPS ground colour dull, reddish-brown markings obscure. E. radians: UNH ground colour brown with sparse silvery scales.
