Erebia ocnus (Eversmann, 1843)

· TYPE LOCALITY. "...in alpibus ad lacum Noor-Saisan" [Dzhungarsky Alatau, Kazakhstan]. The indication of Lake Zaisan as the type locality in the original description is erroneous.

· RANGE. Confined to Dzhungarsky Alatau.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony steppe-clad habitats at 2,500-3,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. E. tianschanica: larger; UNS with light silvery dusting.
