· TYPE LOCALITY. "Siberie orientale" [E. Siberia].

· RANGE. The Altai and Sayan Mts., Tuva and N. Mongolia.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Mountains of S. Siberia from the Altai to the Khamar-Daban Mts. in the east. From the mountains of the E. Altai (the Kholzunsky Mt. Range), the ssp. kholsunica Lukhtanov, 1990 has been described. The infraspecific taxonomy, however, needs further studies, since the terra typica of the nominate form is far too vast.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Banks of streams up to 2,500 m a.s.l. in the mountains. Flight period: June-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. E. kindermanni kindermanni: black dots on UPS bands absent, as a rule. E. kindermanni sarytavica: genitalia different.
