· TYPE LOCALITY. "Udskoj Ostrog" [Udskoe, Khabarovsk Region, Russia].

· RANGE. From the N. Urals, the Altai and Tuva across S. Siberia and Yakutia to the Ussuri region and the W. Chukot Peninsula; Mongolia, N. Korea.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Forest edges and flowery slopes up to 2,500 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. E. cyclopius: UNH with a bluish postdiscal band. E. wanga: UPF apical double eye-spot with central white spots well-developed; its reddish border faint or absent.
