Polar tundras of the Urals and Siberia, the Chukot Peninsula, the Far East - ssp. lena Christoph, 1889; Transbaikalia, the Amur region - ssp. yablonoica Warren, 1931. · HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Marshy tundras and swampy sparse woodlands. Flight period: June-July. Host plant in N. America (Scott, 1986): Eriophorum; in the Polar Urals (Gorbunov, Korshunov, 1995): Poa.
