· RANGE. Transcaucasia, Iran, Iraq, SE. Turkey.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Transcaucasia (absent from Talysh) - ssp. iphias Eversmann, 1851 (= mesopotamica Heyne, [1894]).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Arid sparse woodlands, desert and semi-desert areas. Flight period: May-July. Host plants (Hesselbarth, 1983): Poa and other grasses.
