· TYPE LOCALITY. "...entre 4000 et 7000' d'altitude, le long du Kounguesse". [Kuldzha, Kunges Valley, W. China].

· RANGE. Confined to Tian-Shan.

· TAXONOMIC NOTES. The taxon decolorata Wagner, 1913, described as a distinct species and found in the areas of sympatry with C. sunbecca, seems to be a hybrid of mahometana and sunbecca.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Various humid habitats from grassy plots along streams at foothills (1,200-1,700 m a.s.l.) to humid alpine meadows (3,500-3,700 m a.s.l.). Flight period: June-July.
