· TYPE LOCALITY. "Europa" [Germany].

· RANGE. S. Europe to the Caucasus and Transcaucasia.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The S. European part, the Crimea - the nomi-nate subspecies; the Caucasus Major and Minor - ssp. venusta (Fruhstorfer, 1909).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe habitats up to 2,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-September. Host plants (Nekrutenko, 1990; Hesselbarth et al., 1995): various grasses, e.g. Lolium, Anthoxanthum, Bromus, Sesleria, Festuca, etc.
