· TYPE LOCALITY....unter 41o7’ nordl. Breite und 80o81’ ostl. L. v. Gr. gelegene Stadt Aksu" [N. of Aksu River, SE. slope of Kokshaal-Tau Mts., W. China].
· RANGE. Confined to central Tian-Shan and W. China.
· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Besides the nominate subspecies, a similar ssp., tashkorensis Kreuzberg, 1984, has been described from the Inylchektau and Sary - Dzhaz Mts.
· HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Steep clayey and rocky slopes at 2,900-3,500 m a.s.l. Flight period: end of June to July. Host plant : Corydalis krasnovi.
