• TYPE LOCALITY. "Hakodadi (North Japan)" [Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan].

• RANGE. From E. China and Korea to the Ussuri region and Japan.

• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Ussuri region, inhabited by the ssp. mandschurica Bollow, 1930.

• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Dry slopes, deciduous forest edges. Flight period: April-May, sometimes with a second generation in July-August. Host plants in Japan (Shirozu, Hara, 1960; Fukuda et al., 1982): Draba and Descurainia sophia.
