TYPE LOCALITY. "Hakodadi (North Japan)" [Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan].

RANGE. From E. China and Korea to the Ussuri region and Japan.

DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Ussuri region, inhabited by the ssp. mandschurica Bollow, 1930.

HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Dry slopes, deciduous forest edges. Flight period: April-May, sometimes with a second generation in July-August. Host plants in Japan (Shirozu, Hara, 1960; Fukuda et al., 1982): Draba and Descurainia sophia.
