 Leptidea amurensis

• TYPE LOCALITY, "...des bords de 1'Amour; montagnes de Chingan jusqu'a Pakhale" [Amur basin; Khingan Mts. to Pakhale].

• RANGE. From W. Siberia to the Ussuri region; N. Korea, China, Mongolia and Japan.

• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Amur and Ussuri regions, Sakhalin - the nominate subspecies; the Altai and Sayan mts., Transbaikalia - ssp. emisinapis Verity, 1911; Yakutia - ssp. jacutia P. Gorbunov et Korshunov, 1995.

• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Forest edges, meadows and other open habitats. Flight period: May-August in two generations. Known host plant in Japan (Shirozu, Hara, 1969): Hedysarum ussuriense.

• SIMILAR SPECIES. L. morsei: FW shorter and apex more or less rounded.
