• TYPE LOCALITY. "Japan".

• RANGE. E. and S. Asia from the Amur region to S. China, Korea and Japan.

• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Known by very few records from the S. Amur and Ussuri regions (Kurentzov, 1970). Variation not studied.

• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Grassy habitats in woodlands. Host plants in Japan (Fukuda et al., 1984): grasses [Bromus, Brachypodium, Agropyron, etc.).

• SIMILAR SPECIES.T. sylvaticus: male without stigma, UNS black veins quite prominent.
