• TYPE LOCALITY. "...les montagnes de Chingan jusqu'a Khokhtsir". [Amur region: from. the Khingan to Khekhtsyr mts.].
• RANGE . From E. China to Japan, including the Amur and Ussuri regions.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Amur and Ussuri regions - the nominate subspecies.
• HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Lowland deciduous forests. Flight period: April-September, with adults hibernating. Host plant (Graeser, 1888): Rhamnus davurica.
• SIMILAR SPECIES. G. rhamni, G. maxima: UPF and UPH ground colour uniform. G. amintha: UPF ground colour with more or less well-developed orange dusting.
