• RANGE . From S. Iran across India and S. China to the Ussuri region.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Only the northernmost populations of the species penetrate the territories under consideration: in Kopet-Dagh and the W. Pamirs the nominate subspecies, and in the S. Ussuri region the ssp. chinensis Verity, 1909, are found.
• HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Very rare, mainly in irrigated lands. Flight period: April-August in two generations.
