• TYPE LOCALITY. "... на горном склоне близ ледника Щуровского". [Upper reaches of Sokh River near the Stschurowski Glacier, Turkestansky Mts. (east), Kirghi-zia].
• RANGE . From the Pamirs-Alai and Tian-Shan to Tibet and the mountains of central China.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Inner Tian-Shan, Ghissar, Darvaz, Alai (west) -the nominate subspecies. In addition, the following subspecies are known: ssp. nastoides Verity, 1911 - the Alaisky Mts. (east); ssp. hinducucica Verity, 1911 - the Pamirs; ssp. maja Grum-Grshimailo, 1891 - N. and W. Tian-Shan, Dzhungarsky Alatau.
• HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony slopes and high-altitude meadows at 2,500-4,500 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August.
