• RANGE . Transcaucasia, Turkey and Iran.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The nominate subspecies (= tkatschukovi 0. Bang-Haas, 1936) occurs in the Armenian Highland. Adults of both sexes have various colour forms, as do other Colias species.
• HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony slopes up to 1,600-2,000 m a.s.l. with Onobrychis cornuta as the host plant (Nekrutenko, 1990). Flight period: June-July.
