• RANGE. S. Europe, Asia Minor to the Middle East and S. Transcaucasia.

• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Armenian Highland, inhabited by the ssp. eunomia Freyer, 1851 (= fickleri Seyer, 1985).

• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Arid sparse forests and other xerophytic habitatsat 1,000-1,500 m a.s.L Host plant (Back, 1984, 1985): Isatis. Pupa hibernating.
