Atrophaneura alcinous confusus (Rothschild, 1895)
· RANGE. E. China to the S. Ussuri region, Korea and Japan.
· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The S. Ussuri region, populated by the ssp. confusus (Rothschild, 1895) which is very close to the nominate subspecies.
· HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Mixed forests (broadleaved with fir) with its host plant, the vine Aristolochia mandshhuriensis. Flight period: May- August in two generations. Pupa hibernating.
