· TYPE LOCALITY. Labrador [Canada].
· RANGE. Polar regions of America and Siberia.
· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Chukot Region - ssp. fordi dos Passos, 1949. The taxon O. ammosovi Dubatolov et Korshunov, 1988, described from cent-ral Yakutia, appears to belong to this species.
· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. The upper belt of shrubby tundra. Flight period: June-July.
· SIMILAR SPECIES. O. alpina: UPS often with yellowish bands and eye-spots; UNS wavy pattern better developed; UNH band outwardly strongly undulate, as a rule.
