· TYPE LOCALITY. "...between the Kurai and Bashkaus" [Kuraisky Mts., Altai].

· RANGE. Locally from the Altai to NE. Yakutia.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Altai and Sayan Mts., Transbaikalia - the nominate subspecies; the Far East - ssp. chajataensis Dubatolov, 1992.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe and stony slopes at 1,500-2,500 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. E. kozhantshikovi, E. dabanensis, E. occulta: UPF band consisting of separate ochreous-red spots or stripes.
