· RANGE. Arctic coasts of Eurasia and N. America; from the Chukot Peninsula down to the E. Sayan Mts. and Amur region in the south.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Polar tundras of the Urals and Siberia, the Chukot Peninsula, the Far East - ssp. lena Christoph, 1889; Transbaikalia, the Amur region - ssp. yablonoica Warren, 1931.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Marshy tundras and swampy sparse woodlands. Flight period: June-July. Host plant in N. America (Scott, 1986): Eriophorum; in the Polar Urals (Gorbunov, Korshunov, 1995): Poa.
