• TYPE LOCALITY. "Chilonii (Kiel)" [N. Germany].
• RANGE. Temperate zone of Europe and Siberia.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The European part, the Caucasus Major and Minor, the Armenian Highland, Siberia - the nominate subspecies; Transbaikalia, the Amur and Ussuri regions, Sakhalin - ssp. davendra Hemming, 1934 (= orientalis Kardakov, 1928, nom. praeoccup.).
• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Similar to the previous species. Inhabiting open landscapes in the forest and forest-steppe zones.
• SIMILAR SPECIES. P. chloridice: UPS black colouration less strongly developed; UNH white spots elongated.
