• TYPE LOCALITY. «...de Zouvant, sur la chine de Talyche» [Zuvand Plateau, Talysh Mts., Azerbaijan].
• RANGE. Talysh, W. Kopet-Dagh; N. Iran.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Talysh and the W. Kopet-Dagh are populated by the nominotypical subspecies.
• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Forest belt at 1,000-1,500 m a.s.l. in the mountains. Flight period: June to July.
• SIMILAR SPECIES. Argynnis aglaja: silvery spots on UNH rounded; row of silvery lunules along outer margin present.
