· TYPE LOCALITY. "Kirgisia, Innerer Tienschan, Naryn".

· RANGE. Confined to Inner Tian-Shan.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Mountain ranges around the town of Naryn (Naryntau, Baidulu, Baibichetau, etc.), Kirghizia.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Mountain steppe, clayey-stony and even xerophytic habitats at 2,300-2,700 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. kirghisa: UPH ochreous-yellow colour always present; males mostly with eye-spot in spaces Cu1-Cu2. H. laeta: smaller; UPH without ochreous-yellow colour (except in the ssp. ochracea).
