Hyponephele przhewalskyi Dubatolov, Sergeev et Zhdanko, 1994 · TYPE LOCALITY. "Kyrgyzstan, Issyk Kul, Przhevalsk". · RANGE. Confined to N. and Inner Tian-Shan (the Susamyr Valley). · HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Grassy and stony steppe habitats with exposed rock at 1,000-2,100 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August. · SIMILAR SPECIES. H. dzhungarica: smaller; FW narrower; HW outer edge more strongly undulate; UNH with a more or less well-developed median band. H. interposita: wing pattern and colour different; male androconial area broad; female UPF with a single eye-spot; UNH in both sexes with a subapical spot.
