· TYPE LOCALITY. "Sudliche Alai" [S. slopes of the Alaisky Mts., Kirghizia].

· RANGE. Ghissar, S. Ghissar, Alai, Darvaz.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The eastern part of the area (the Alaisky and Zaalaisky mts., the E. Peter 1 Mts.) is occupied by the nominate subspecies; the rest of the territory is inhabited by the ssp. subnephele J.L. Shchetkin, 1963 which is only slightly different from the nominate one.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Flowery and grassy slopes, also with thin arboreal vegetation, at 600-2,600 m a.s.l. Flight period: May-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. haberhaueri: UPF ochreous area well-developed; genitalia different.
