· TYPE LOCALITY. "Zentr.-Pamir, Peter-1.-Gebirgskette, Fortambek-Gletscher, 4000 m" [Fortambek Glacier, 4,000 m a.s.l., Peter 1 Mts., Tajikistan].

· RANGE. Darvaz.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Found in the type locality only, viz. E. Darvaz (the northern slopes of the Peter 1 Mts.).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Mainly shingle-stony habitats with Festuca at high altitudes (4,000 m a.s.l. and higher) in the grass steppe belt of the mountains. Flight period: July-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. hilaris: male UPF without pale basal area; UNH ground colour greyish-brown; antennal club dark on underside.
